The NatWest Cricket Club today launches a search for the most loved and worthy cricket club in England and Wales. Former England captain, Michael Vaughan, is leading the NatWest Biggest Little Cricket Club initiative which will reward the winners with a visit from a range of cricketing specialists on Sunday 1st April, during NatWest CricketForce weekend.

Encouraging clubs to pad up and go into battle, NatWest Cricket Club captain, Michael Vaughan says, “We want to find out which local cricket club is the Biggest Little Cricket Club in the country. They won’t necessarily be the biggest in size, or the most successful, but they will be the most loved. We’re hoping clubs seize this opportunity to drum up support and get the whole community involved.”

The clubs must demonstrate the strength of their support by enlisting their members, friends, and local community to vote online to get them to the top 5 on the leaderboard. In return, the club judged the most worthy will receive the visit from cricketing experts, which includes Michael Vaughan, ECB pitch consultant Chris Wood, along with DIY professionals and NatWest staff.

Michael Vaughan says, “Every International cricketer starts their career playing for their local club, and the role grassroots cricket plays in establishing our love for the game is vital. Our team of specialists will boost the winning club’s pre-season preparations during NatWest CricketForce weekend.”

The top five clubs with the most points at 9am on Friday 23rd March will be submitted to a judging panel to decide which club will receive the top honour. The four runners up will each receive merchandise signed by members of the England team.
